I asked myself this the other day when I went to the local Circle K, which is a popular gas station near the area I live. This machine was near the ATM. The name of the company is Bitcoin Depot. When I looked around on the internet to get some information about these machines, I noticed that Circle K is putting these in a lot of their gas stations.
I thought this was a convenient way to pick up a little bit of Crypto here and there when you go to pick up a beer, which is what I did. I walked by the machine several times when getting beer (surprisingly, they have decent beer) until I finally decided to use one today.
To use these machines, you have to have cash with you. I thought this was strange because there is a card accepting jack. I tried to use this, but nothing happened. The only thing the machine would accept was cash. If you have stockpiles of cash this would be a great place to bring it if you want to turn it into Crypto.
The only thing I didn’t like about using these machines was the fact that you pay some pretty hefty fees. Other than that, I think this is a great way to get into Crypto. Make sure you already have a wallet set up so that you can tell the machine where to send the Bitcoin or Litecoin.
