At this point, it should be beyond obvious that crypto is far more than a fad. If it is a fad, this is the farthest running fad of all time. Fads usually last about a year or two.
There are some Crypto Projects that are certainly fads. I once thought that Doge was just a fad, and maybe it was meant to be, but I lost a lot of money by thinking that. I always try to invest in projects that I think will last a long time, but to get life changing gains in a short period of time people must take risks. It is worth noting that the people that make huge gains with these fad-like Cryptos have probably been holding them for quite a while and they never knew if they would ever gain value at all.
I think of NFT’s as short-term fad. Some people have spent large amounts of wealth for them. I think as time goes on though, some NFT’s will have a lot of value much like how we have some art pieces that are worth millions. When this happens, I think NFT’s won’t be a fad anymore and the craze will be over. Many artists today are creating NFT’s that are very valuable.
Crypto is here to stay and will likely be the future if we don’t experience a post-apocalyptic scenario.
