A block-chain is a digital ledger that cannot be changed. This is likely the reason why many have turned to Crypto as a store of value. Block-chain makes it impossible for a person to go in and change a ledger as they see fit.
In our world we always hear about corruption in governments, big business, and many other places. Part of this is that there are people who have access to an infinite amount of money. They can create it out of thin air and pay off whomever they please. No wonder why our world is the way it is.

Consider having a business contract that states money will be dispersed when a job reaches a particular place or completion. Without a person having to do anything, the payment can be dispersed. The action simply happens after certain needs have been met.
Smart contracts might even be used in a court room one day. We have seen how some judges have given out unfair sentences, some could say it was race driven and even profit driven. Something like this could also be taken out of the hands of flaw filled man and we would see more fair sentences for crimes committed.
